More than 365 million USD of registered investment capital in Hanoi in January

The Department of Planning and Investment of Hanoi has just said that in January 2017, Hanoi city has granted 43 new projects with a total newly registered capital of 31.7 million USD.

Specifically, with the adjustment of capital increase of 15 project with a total investment capital of 334.2 million USD, in the first month of 2017, the whole city attracted 365.9 million USD of investment capital.

Also in January 2017, the Hanoi Business Registration Agency issued Business Registration Agency to 1,414 newly established enterprises with a registered capital of VND 13,151 billion, bringing the total number of enterprises in Hanoi city to 209,537 enterprises.

In 2017, Hanoi set a target to increase GRDP from 8.5-9.0%. To achieve those targets, the city will focus on 6 specific groups of tasks and solutions. In which, the top priority is stilleconomic development, including improving the investment environment. Accordingly, the city will implement solutions to improve competitiveness, PCI index, continue to improve the investment and business environment, encourage start-ups develop businesses, and promote growth.

The renewal and improvement of the quality of market forecasting, strengthening trade promotion, and promoting exports are also one of the city’s key issues. At the same time, strengthen investment promotion, solutions to mobilize domestic and foreign resources for development investment.

In addition, Chairman of Hanoi City People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung has just assigned relevant units to urgently study and propose specific mechanisms to call for and attract investment for the city to submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and organize the Hanoi Investment Promotion Conference in April 2017.
